Chris's Customs Garage Co. LLC was started by owner Chris and his wife Jaden. Chris grew up in an automotive shop that focused-on remodeling the interior of classic cars and repair of newer vehicles the same, called Auto Interiors Unlimited. The shop was owned by his late Grandfather Earl and Dad Don, who served the car industry of the panhandle for well over 30 years.

The love for classic cars was instilled in Chris very young and over the years, he began to remodel his own classic cars starting with his high-school pickup, a 1988 Chevrolet Silverado Step Side 4x4. It was a complete remodel besides the paint, which was left original. After tearing the whole truck down to nuts and bolts on the shop floor with jacks and jack stands, it was clear there was an easier way. 

 

Chris continued to do his own remodeling work as well as maintenance on his own personal vehicles and family's vehicles. After several jobs of always crawling around on the floor under each of these vehicles, it would have always been nice to have a lift. An obsession with classic cars turned into something more. We wanted to give the everyday driver, weekend wrencher, car enthusiast, and truck lover the place to work on their own vehicles, without the pressure and price of a traditional automotive shop. 

 

We opened this DIY Automotive Garage in Amarillo, Texas for everyone to be able to rent a bay, have access to tools, and work in a spacious, clean, environment no matter the size of the project.

Here at Chris's Customs Garage Co., we believe and encourage a DIY community first. That is why our focus is in providing the lifts, tools, and equipment for your automotive needs. We believe that turning your own wrenches, creates a sense of pride, knowledge, and confidence in yourself and your vehicle just as it always has for us. We are building a community where questions are always welcome, and learning is part of the experience for us both.
